Ask & Learn聞問切英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ):Came Home Happy
讀者 Calvin Law 問下面一句為什么用 came home happy 而不是 came home happily?
Tom came home happy on Saturday afternoon because he could finally enjoy himself after the lesson.
John is only 5 years old but he looks big for his age.
The steak is overcooked and it tastes burnt.
例子中,"he looks big" 和 "it tastes burnt" 中動(dòng)詞后面都接上形容詞而不是副詞,因?yàn)?big 和 burnt 分別修飾的對(duì)象是主語(yǔ)(代名詞)"he" 和 "it",而不是 "looks" 和 "tastes" 的動(dòng)作。
