C：Situation comedies. A sitcom is half an hour long and it airs weekly. Sitcom shows tend to be about ordinary people. If there is one thing that all the shows have in common, it is teaching wholesome values.

單元喜劇片。每出情境喜劇是半個(gè)小時(shí)的長(zhǎng)度，而且每個(gè)禮拜都會(huì)播出。情境喜劇往往和一般大眾息息相關(guān)。如果要說(shuō)所有的節(jié)目有一項(xiàng)共通點(diǎn)的話，那就是教導(dǎo)有益人心的價(jià)值觀。

M：In Taiwan, prime-time shows are an hour long and most of them aren't comedies.

C：I think Americans would rather laugh than cry or be scared in their free time.
